The following college scholarship opportunities and awards are available for students of WSHS.  Please note that these scholarships are not sponsored by the PTSA, please contact the organization directly for more information.

Sophomores and Juniors

Robert B. Sturm Youth Leadership Mission

• 3 day trip to Washington D.C.
• Capitol Hill and the Holocaust Museum
• Due November 18, 2011 at 4:00

Soroptimist International of Seattle Metropolitan sponsors the Violet Richardson Award

• Girls, age 14-17
• Volunteers in community or school
• Sees challenges instead of obstacles

Seniors

Epsilon Sigma Alpha Foundation Scholarship

• 3.0+ GPA or
• ACT 22+ or SAT 1030+

• 34 sholarships you may choose from

Ewing Kelly Scholarship

• Citizenship, academic achievement, and financial need
• $2500.00
• 2010/11 52 scholarships awarded
• Due: March 12, 2012
• ACT score 20+ or 1400+ on SAT
• US citizen or green card
• Tuition only

Graham and Dunn PC 2011 Memorial Scholarship Fund

• $2500.00 for two years
• Ability to overcome significant challenges or obstacles in life
• Financially challenged in paying for college
• Due: May 13, 2012

NASSP/Herff Jones Principal’s Leadership Award

• Recognizing Outstanding Student Leaders
• $125,000 in scholarships awarded with top winner receiving $12,000
• Due: December 2, 2011

Seattle Hiroshima Club Scholarship Trust Fund

• Three $1000.00 scholarships
• Descendants of earlier or currently active members of the Seattle Hiroshima Club
• 3.8+ GPA
• Due: December 20. 2011

Seattle Swedish Community Scholarships

• Bert Hagg Awards: 2 awards @$3500.00
• Erik Strand Awards: 4 awards @$3500.00
• Fern and Sven Halgren Award: 1 award @$3500.00
• Josef Oscarsson Award: 1 award @1500.00
• Swedish ancestry not required
